Work-Based Learning

One of West Clermont's goals is to prepare students for their future by not only preparing them academically, but also providing rich learning experiences outside of the classroom. By establishing partnerships with area business and organizations, West Clermont offers students a number of internship, apprenticeship, and career exploration opportunities. These opportunities range one-day to long term work along professionals in a growing number of industries.

Local employers, especially in highly technical and specialized professions, traditionally recruit college-level students. Employers have found that this process begins too late and are now beginning their recruitment efforts as early as high school by working with school districts like West Clermont to offer students real world learning opportunities.
